When is the best time to engage an Interior Designer?
At the very beginning. We collaborate with your architect, builder or trades to refine flow, finishes and costings before plans and budget are locked in.
What is included in a 2-hour consultation?
You’ll receive creative + practical advice tailored to your space, including direction for layout, colours, finishes, furniture and décor selections.
Do you offer online consultations?
Yes. Virtual consultations are available for clients outside Melbourne or when an on-site visit isn’t possible.
How much will it cost to design my space?
Costs depend on scope. After your consultation, we provide a detailed proposal and quote for further services.
Do I need to book a consultation before engaging Toni + Co for full services?
Yes. The consultation is designed as a stand-alone service with clear, actionable advice. It also helps us define scope and provide accurate quotes.
Do you provide post-consultation notes?
No. We prepare in advance and often bring samples, but you’ll need to take notes during the session as we move quickly.
Do you follow trends or focus on timeless design?
We create timeless interiors with a nod to contemporary style - spaces that feel fresh today and beautiful for years to come.
Do you only do full-home designs or single rooms too?
We work on projects of all sizes - from single room refreshes to full homes and offices.
Can you just help with selecting materials and colours?
Yes, we can provide you with Fixture and Fitting Schedules and material samples in line with the look you are wanting to achieve. Note that a mood board will be created first so that the materials can be selected by us in line with the final aesthetic you are wanting to achieve and in line with your budget.
Can you work within my budget?
Yes. Once we know the scope, we tailor solutions to suit your budget and prioritise where to invest for maximum impact.
Can you blend my existing furniture with new pieces?
Of course. We love mixing old and new to create a cohesive and personal space.
Do you pass on trade discounts to clients?
Yes. Over the years we’ve built strong supplier relationships, allowing us to pass on the best prices to our clients.
How do you figure out my style if I don’t know what it is?
Through conversation, a questionnaire, mood-boards and references (like Pinterest), we uncover the look and feel that reflects you
Do you create mood-boards or 3D renders?
Yes. We present mood-boards and, where needed, 3D visuals so you can clearly see the design direction.
How involved will I be in the design process?
As much or as little as you like - this is discussed before your project begins.
How many options will you present for furniture, colours or layout?
We curate the best options to suit your brief and budget so the process stays clear and stress-free.
What if after the consultation I don’t want full-service design?
By the end of the Consultation, you will have received clear, actionable ideas to execute yourself. You don’t need to engage Toni + Co at all. However if you would like us to help you, at that point, we will be in a position to be able to provide costs to help you with as little or as much as you need.
What if I’m not sure how much help I need?
That’s okay. Start with a consultation - We’ll clarify your goals and suggest the right level of support for your project.
Can you work with trades or suppliers I already have?
Yes. We’re happy to collaborate with your preferred architect, builder or trades, and can also recommend trusted suppliers if needed.
Do you help with sourcing bespoke or custom pieces?
Absolutely. We design and source custom joinery, furniture and made-to-order furnishings through our trusted network.
