Scope of Work
Our clients engaged us to transform key living areas of their 1980s townhouse into a warm, inviting home inspired by the timeless character of a North American log cabin.
To establish the overall design direction, we developed the home's tone, look and feel through carefully curated concept and mood boards before guiding every design decision throughout the renovation. Our scope included the redesign of the existing fireplace, replacing the painted brick surround with a stacked stone feature wall to create a striking focal point within the living space. Existing carpet and slate flooring were removed and replaced with dark walnut timber flooring, bringing warmth and continuity throughout the home.
Further works included fresh paint throughout, re-staining the existing staircase and bar to complement the new palette, enlarging and squaring off the arched opening to improve the connection between the dining room and sunroom, replacing old timber windows and doors and carefully selecting furniture, soft furnishings, window treatments and styling pieces that reflected the desired mountain lodge aesthetic.
