Scope of Work

Our clients engaged us to transform their Blairgowrie property into a relaxed and refined holiday home, with a design that brought together Contemporary Coastal and Palm Springs influences.

Our role was to establish a cohesive design direction for the entire home, inside and out, and carry that vision through every material, finish and detail. Working closely with the clients, building designer, builder and trades, our scope included:

Initial interior and exterior design concepts

Moodboards and design direction for all spaces

Interior and exterior colour and material selections

Detailed fixtures, fittings and finishes schedules

Kitchen, laundry and walk-in robe cabinetry design

Flooring, stone, tiles, hardware and surface selection

Lighting plan and decorative lighting selections

Liaison with the building designer, builder, cabinet maker and relevant trades throughout the project

Result

The finished home is a relaxed fusion of Contemporary Coastal and Palm Springs, designed to feel fresh, refined and perfectly suited to its Blairgowrie setting.

One of the greatest design challenges was creating an almost entirely white home, both inside and out, without allowing it to feel clinical or flat. Rather than introducing bold colour, we created depth through carefully considered shades of white and a layered palette of natural materials and subtle tonal variation.

Oak flooring, VJ panelling, natural limestone, travertine paving, marble hardware and soft linen bring warmth and texture, while woven rattan, organic décor and statement lighting add a relaxed, tactile quality.

The final result is a calm and cohesive holiday home where the architecture, finishes and furnishings feel intrinsically connected. Light, textural and timeless, the home has an effortless coastal feel while still retaining the polish and personality of its Palm Springs influence.
